 Frequently Asked Questions:

What will the program teach my child?

This course will introduce your teens to emotional regulation that builds mindful habits with skill sets & heart sets that enhance self-awareness, develop inner strengths/“super powers” and encourage productivity.

What happens in each session?

Each 1.5-hour session will begin with a mindfulness exercise, followed by engaging discussions, videos, games, and other activities designed to teach productive or effective habits. By the end of each week, teens will set a personal goal that encourages them to practice the habits learned in class.

What is the difference between the Emotional Mindfulness workshop and the Strengths Edge workshop?

Emotional Mindfulness & Productivity Habits is focused on identifying the root causes of our anxiety, fears, sadness and giving us 7 effective paradigms shifts and mindfulness tools to help us separate our emotions with who we are, co-regulate our emotions and learn 7 productivity habits to help us so we may be able to love being ourselves more every day and reach the goals that we want for our lives.

Strengths Edge will help the participants identify their innate and unique talents that make them different from others using a scientifically proven tool, Gallup's Clifton Strengths assessment. When they have concrete language of their unique Talents (top 3 and Top 5), these are their Board of Directors / voices in their heads that influence them make small and big decisions. They will increase self-awareness and how these Talents work for them and even against them. When they have increased awareness, they will develop Strengths Edge by learning tools on how to use them to make choices that will strengthen them and others too. they will learn how to lead themselves from frustrating situations to fulfilling situations.

Strengths Edge will be a more personal and deeper application of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective teens by using what is already strong with them and becoming more of who they truly are.
