 Levels

WIKA'Y SAYA! is an online workshop for children age 4-6 that encourages learning Filipino in a fun environment. A special module (Pagbabasa) teaches students who are not yet fluent readers how to read in Filipino and gives them the confidence for the big school.

Level A

Builds exposure to and delight in learning Filipino through storytelling, songs and games. Each 45-minute class aims to build vocabulary, comprehension, and oral communication skills while instilling an appreciation for the Filipino language and culture. Learning is structured around specific themes, weaving in traditional values and practices that are uniquely Filipino.

Level B

Teaches children how to read in Filipino while providing engaging exposure to the language. Letter names and sounds are presented in an intentional manner which are the prerequisites to reading fluency. Beginning readers are given plenty of sounding out and deciphering tasks that will lead to familiarity with word structures and vocabulary that they are bound to encounter in early reading materials.

How do I know if my child’s reading and writing skills meet grade level expectations?
