How do I know if my child’s reading and writing skills meet grade level expectations?

 Frequently Asked Questions

How much are your fees?

The monthly enrollment includes 2 teacher-sessions per week (with a maximum of 4 kids per class), online reading resources, and supplemental learning kits delivered monthly. The program fee is Php 2500 per month, exclusive of the kit’s courier fee.

How many sessions?

The online classes -- maximum 4 students per class - last 45 minutes and held twice a week. On other days of the week, the teacher assigns asynchronous activities such as reading a book, accomplishing worksheets and other activities in the learning kit.

How many students per class?

It depends on the student's level and chosen schedule, but the class is limited to 4 students at a time. Having classmates increases a child's interest in learning.

What is the assessment for?

The 30-minute teacher-administered test determines the child's skills (including mastery of letters & letter sounds, ability to read sight words, and reading comprehension) and helps us place him or her in the right level of the program. Parents receive an assessment report.

What are the available schedules?

We will inform you of the proposed class schedule, based on your preference and common time with classmates in the same level, after assessment.

How many months is the program? How quickly are they expected to read well?

Reading is the basis of all learning: the pace depends on the child's personal development. If the child is ready and knows letter names and sounds, it will take approximately 12 months for the student to become a fluent reader.
